All children need to be directed until they are self-directed, but the way the child is directed is the crucial part. Expert guidance is required, the more the child has lost the way.

Most children love the attention of an adult, who truly cares. And children know that even before a word is spoken. Some children, revel in sharing their thoughts and building relationships with other adults apart from their immediate family, this is especially so from age 3-6, and 6 plus.
