If you have a child who is able, but finds it hard to concentrate… This is a common problem in today’s world of multi tasking and constantly flickering images.  With the right direction children learn to concentrate. Concentration on task is a very happy state that uplifts not tires.

If you have a child who appears to have certain gaps in his/her learning… All children love to be active and to learn. It is possible to fill the gaps by working systematically, your child will soon notice a difference and be keen to continue.

If you have a child who lacks confidence… Confidence cannot be given, it has to be earned, but working towards it is understandably a very satisfying and meaningful experience for a young child.

If it has been suggested that your child may have a learning difficulty… Every child is unique and develops at his or her own pace. In a conducive environment, with careful direction, misconceptions abade and all good strengths manifest themselves.

If your child loves to learn… It is possible to have fun, to keep learning and to be extended without outgrowing one's year level.

The change in Noah after just 2 months was just incredible we couldn’t believe the transformation that was taking place in front of us. We weren’t exactly sure what your method was but we knew it was working and were so grateful to have found you...

Tutoring Styles

Children are honest learners, they know what they need to practice and, given the right conditions in the right environment, they will find their way. All children need to be directed until they are self-directed, but the way the child is directed is the crucial part. Expert guidance is required, the more the child has lost the way.

At Børn, both private (1:1) and group (1:2) tuition is available at a time convenient to your family.

1 teacher : 1 child

Most children love the attention of an adult, who truly cares. And children know that even before a word is spoken. Some children, revel in sharing their thoughts and building relationships with other adults apart from their immediate family, this is especially so from age 3-6, and 6 plus.

  • Tutoring 1:1 is a quality time almost beyond description

  • The child is immersed, concentrated, joyful and walks away uplifted, full of new concepts and ideas, and very confident.

  • Tutoring 1:1 benefits all children

1 teacher : 2 children

Most children are social, some love to bounce off a friend and share. Children learn from each other, and often tutoring 1:2 will have a flow-on effect between two children, even outside tutoring. This is because they have shared a meaningful experience that helped them grow and develop.

  • Tutoring 1:2 leaves a child to concentrate on a certain task of interest whilst still listening and absorbing another lesson nearby. This can make for an ‘awesome’ atmosphere of immersion and great happiness.

  • Tutoring 1:2 benefits children who have a degree of ability to concentrate by themselves.

  • Tutoring 1:2 is most commonly used for siblings
